Instructions for Use
Perfume Fixative PFRP 17832 was developed to support fragrance fixation in a variety of fragranced products. It can be used in combination with suitable fragrance compositions for applications including perfumes, scented candles, soaps, as well as fragrance hangers and cardboard car air fresheners.
Perfume
For the production of alcohol-based perfume products, we recommend as a guideline using 10–20% Perfume Fixative PFRP 17832, based on the total weight of the finished perfume.
Example:
For 100 g of finished perfume, approximately 10–20 g of Perfume Fixative PFRP 17832 may be used, depending on the desired formulation. The remaining amount consists of fragrance concentrate and suitable perfumer’s alcohol or ethanol.
After mixing, we recommend allowing sufficient maturation time and carrying out stability and application tests.
Scented Candles
PFRP 17832 can be used together with suitable fragrance oils to support fragrance fixation in scented candles and wax melts.
The appropriate concentration depends on the wax used, the fragrance composition and the overall formulation. Before starting series production, we generally recommend carrying out your own burn, stability and fragrance performance tests.
Soaps
PFRP 17832 can also be used in combination with suitable fragrance compositions in the production of fragranced soaps.
As fragrances and other formulation ingredients may affect the behaviour, viscosity and colour of the soap mixture, we recommend carrying out an application test with the specific formulation before starting series production.
Car Air Fresheners & Cardboard Fragrance Hangers
PFRP 17832 is also suitable for use in fragrance mixtures for car air fresheners, fragrance cards and fragrance hangers made from absorbent cardboard.
The optimal composition depends on the fragrance used, the carrier material, the desired fragrance intensity and the intended fragrance duration. We recommend testing absorption capacity, material compatibility and fragrance release with the specific cardboard material in advance.
Important
The appropriate dosage depends on the specific application, fragrance composition and overall formulation. The product-specific IFRA guidelines for the intended application must be observed.
The Safety Data Sheet, IFRA Certificate of Conformity and other product-specific documents, where available, can be found directly on the product page.
