ARDF Solvent for Reed Aroma Diffusers
ARDF Solvent for Reed Aroma Diffusers is a professional, ready-to-use base for producing high-quality fragrance liquids for reed diffusers. The low-viscosity formulation was developed for reliable fragrance delivery, rapid saturation of the diffuser reeds, and the most even evaporation possible throughout the entire period of use.
The solvent can be easily mixed with our DBB series fragrance oils as well as with suitable essential oils. This allows for the creation of individual room fragrance compositions for private, artisanal, and commercial applications – from fresh and floral scents to warm, woody, or gourmand creations.
Consistent Scent Intensity Throughout the Entire Period of Use
A key advantage of the ARDF solvent is its controlled and even evaporation. The fragrance liquid is continuously released into the air via the reeds, ensuring that the scent intensity remains as stable as possible over time.
This reduces strong fluctuations between a very intense scent at the beginning and a significantly weaker perception after a short time. The result is a harmonious, reliable, and professionally appealing fragrance experience.
Fast Fragrance Transport Due to Low Viscosity
Thanks to its low viscosity, the ARDF solvent is quickly and effectively absorbed into the diffuser reeds. The liquid rises through the fine capillaries and then evaporates evenly from the surface of the reeds.
With a suitable combination of fragrance concentration, reed material, and diffuser vessel, it is generally not necessary to regularly flip the reeds. This simplifies application and prevents unnecessary contact with the fragrance liquid.
Neutral Carrier for Clear Scent Development
When unmixed, the solvent has a slight inherent odor. However, in an operating reed diffuser, this is usually not noticeable.
The base serves as a functional carrier that evenly absorbs the fragrance oil used, transports it via the reeds, and releases it into the air in a controlled manner. The character of the fragrance composition remains clearly recognizable and is not masked by a dominant solvent odor.
For Individual Room Fragrance Creations
With the ARDF solvent, numerous room fragrance concepts can be realized. The base is suitable for classic reed diffusers as well as for modern home fragrance, gift, and lifestyle products.
By freely selecting the fragrance oil, seasonal collections, individual scent signatures, and different styles can be developed – for example:

Application
The ARDF solvent is thoroughly mixed with the desired fragrance oil and then filled into a suitable diffuser vessel. Afterwards, appropriate diffuser reeds are placed into the liquid.
The optimal fragrance concentration depends, among other things, on the following factors:
- Intensity and composition of the fragrance oil used
- Desired scent strength
- Size and shape of the diffuser vessel
- Number, length, and material of the reeds
- Room size
- Temperature and air circulation
- Desired evaporation time
Before producing larger quantities, a small test batch is recommended. The scent intensity, mixing stability, evaporation rate, and capillary performance of the reeds used should be checked.
Tips for Optimal Results
For reliable function, high-quality reeds suitable for reed diffusers should be used. The number and diameter of the reeds influence both the scent intensity and the evaporation rate.
More or thicker reeds can increase fragrance release but may also shorten the period of use. Fewer reeds generally result in a more subtle scent effect and slower evaporation.
The finished diffuser should be placed on a stable, horizontal surface. Direct sunlight, strong heat sources, and intense air circulation can accelerate evaporation.
Before processing, the current safety data sheet, product-specific instructions, and the documents for the fragrance oil used must be observed.
